Nineteenth Day — In the park with wife
We were at the Bishan Park by about 7:10am. I started to walk around the lake while my wife did two rounds and then continue photographing the birds. Again it was a good sun rise with warm and glory. I used her camera and did a few shots of the Bishan River, or some also called it the Kallang River.
I tried to get the body to be accustom to jogging by walking for the whole circuit except for about 50 meters I would jog. I monitored the heart rate and saw that I never went higher that 130 Bpm. The shoes were giving blister above the big toe. It was going well, for about 4,000 steps, until I felt that there were some pricking at the tongue when I landed on the heel while jogging. I was careful not to aggravate the situation and tried to reduce jerking. Eventually I figured perhaps I better walk. I did bigger steps and I wore a headphone that played jogging music, all were western genre, which I was quite surprised as it was a Music apps from the Huawei mobile. They seems to pro the western world in this respect, unfortunate that the daughter was refused permit to leave Canada for years only until recently. History, according to Nietzsche is eternal recurrence, perhaps of human folly. I hope the prickly thingy would not last forever, otherwise I might have to give up running.
I stopped the early morning walk at about 7,500 steps. It took me almost an hour. Perhaps it was the bigger steps that I did compared to yesterday’s workout. Breakfast was mushroom soup from Campbell, Shiitake mushroom fried with eggs, and white bread. After breakfast we set up the rice cooker to boil congee before we went to Macritchie Reservoir.
