Fourteenth Day — leaking blood from the screw wound.

I had quite a good sleep last nigh, although I could not sleep facing up with both hands held at my DanTian (丹田) as the two screwed holes behind my skull were still swollen and discharging blood and transparent fluid. So I slept crunching to the side, changing position every now and then. Yap the nurses diligently came for my blood pressure at 2pm and 5pm.

Morning Exercise

I woke up at seven, cleaned up, tried to clear the bowel but nothing excreted. Started to walk at seven-thirty. I decided to stop at 2,000 steps and took it slow. The feeling was a little strange, like my senses were less sharp and slightly less aware toward the end of the walking exercise.

I felt better after doing the BaDuanJin. It stretches the muscle, veins and move the Qi. I could feel the warm stretching all over the arms and the torso. My heart beat also hit above 110 bpm after I did the 5 and 6 series.

I rested and stood to draw my portrait referencing from the photograph I had taken yesterday — portraits in agony with the Titanium frame attached to my brain. I am also astonished at the technology that is deployed in this treatment. The only sad part was the pain one has to go through with the piercing pain when the four screws were tighten onto the skull tightly. Torturous! I wonder who came out with such a method of treatment.

My wound still bled with some red blood and transparent liquid, but the pain was gone, except when I rubbed them, I could felt the sore.

Lunch

For the first time I chose Japanese Beef curry udon. I finish everything slowly. I was amazed that I finally could eat rice again and not just white porridge. I still continue to write rather than talk. I think it is a good training for me. Interesting that people were more patience, other than myself, in communicating. Except the other night I was so impatience that the nurses did not want to change a fresh dressing for me.

I would always have a spoon of chicken soup to warm and smooth the throat before I start the main course. The slow mastication of the food, allowed me to taste them and feel the flow of the food turning into fluid, slowly descending the throat smoothly. Each mouth was a slow sensing experience. I was glad that I still could eat in peace without fainting. I was glad to that I could have food, well prepared, siting safely on clean, soft bed. The warm bean curd drink were smoothing the throat. So glad.

After lunch I suddenly felt very tire. The brain was rather stoned. I suspect the GAMA was taken its effect, so I requested that the curtain be drawn and the door close while I try to rest. Samjori came to clean my would with alcohol and gave me a new dressing. I used an alcohol swab to pin point the location of the pain. The needle point by now was hardly visible and they were very difficult to be located especially behind my skull, where the short hair camouflaged the injured point. The front were easy.

When everything was done, I went to sleep. I slept for 3 hours. I woke up at 5pm.
