First Day - Fainted 4 times
I woke up early at about 5:20 in the morning, not feeling very well, not sure what was troubling me, stomach feeling strange. So I maybe I should wake up early today.
I was brushing my teeth and a sudden pain started to develop on the right side of my tongue and spreading to the right side of the neck. I knew it came. I quickly prone done onto the floor and roll over to the side of the bath room wall.
I was still dazed as I slowly gain consciousness. I had sweat all over and my clothes were all wet. Some how I felt very fresh, perhaps it is because of the sweat. I took a bath and rested for awhile before i went back to sleep. I could not sleep. The stomach was feeling strange. I headed to the toilet to shit and it was rather watery. Felt better and went back to sleep. However, my whole body was feeling strange.
Feeling so weak and lay on the bed to skip breakfast. I had another collapse in the bed while sleeping. My third collapse came again while I was sleeping while swallowing saliva. I sense that it was going to turn nasty. I felt my heart beating hard and fast. I looked the watch and found that it was more than 90bpm. I waited for it to drop, but it did not, instead it increases. Feeling strange, I requested my wife to sent me to the doctor.
I kept watch on the heart beat while my wife drove. Eventually we decided to head to the A&E department. By then my heart beat was above 110. It seems that the doctor were not very alarmed when I told them. He listened to the heart, took some blood for testing, and then sent me to the ENT doctor.
We took some time telling the history of the situation to Dr. Stephen. He put me on a chair and sprayed some numbing agent in my nose and also my mouth. He started to check and declared that he found nothing abnormal. His numbing agent did a good thing, my heart beat started to lower. I suspect, he had spray at the right area and could have cause the heart beat to slow down. I was relieved, but he found nothing on the right side of my tongue. I asked him again to much of his annoyance. He insisted that there was nothing there. Well, this was not the first time I had to go through this.
Two years ago at another hospital, the doctors cleared me with no disease too. However, I knew all along there is something wrong with the tongue. I did showed the previous doctors that I might have a nerve problem. One young doctor dismissed it that I have a stone in the tongue. Then, July 2019, I was discharged after five days of checking, CT scans, MRI on the Brian, to go home and recuperate. Indeed I went home, set up a routine, converted to vegetarian, avoided caustic liquid or anything that gave a sudden pricking to my tongue. I would avoid pork. In fact, I would be very irritated when pork was mixed in my vegetable. Many relatives and friends, even close friends would not understand and accommodate my request and take it very lightly. Anyway, I have to do what is good for me. No one would bother other than one self. For that I would subscribed to Ayn Rand’s objectivism spirit. No one should care about you than yourself.
I am glad that I had 2 years free of any attack until recently.
We requested to be admitted and asked for a neurologist as the over looking doctor. I was told to wait for the doctor before I eat. I had not eaten since morning and by now after seeing so many doctors, it was already 8pm. Here was where I met Dr, Rhamani, a slander, dark, spectacled with silver frame, Indian doctor. He was patience, listen through my long story and history. I talk so much that suddenly I got another attack, knockout and came back. The doctor was beside me. He prescribe 75mg of Lirica and suggested that I do an EEG test which I did in another hospital and I was cleared of epilepsy. I was too tire to said otherwise, perhaps it is good that he can reconfirm that it is something else that cause my collapse.
I ate very little, the anxiety and the fear of collapsing again became heart beat raising. Dr. Rhamani ordered a heart beat monitoring device on me. It has three words that were attached to my chest and another below the left lung. I quickly too the pills, felt heavy and went to sleep. So glad to sleep in peace without any collapse. I make sure that I slept straight and not slant to the right side.
I had a good night sleep. So glad. A good sleep is a good thing.
