I woke up early at around 7pm, stayed on the bed to do some twisting to the left and right of the body before getting to the toilet. It was the 6 second rule that was a reminder by Dr How Boon Wan. He learned the lesson when he got up too quickly and broke his wrist, if I recalled accurately, or I could be wrong. Anyway, 6 seconds rule. According to Dr. Mel, the spinal fluid takes sometime to charge up the spine when we woke up from a good sleep. So we need to allow it time to do so. Some people woke up, experience some frightening moment, their fluid freezes, they would be immobilized for a while, which they may recount that they were under some spell.
Pressed the button to ask for the nurse that I need to go to the rest room. I cleared my bowel, gargled, and washed by face, then I start my exercise routing. The nurse changed the battery for my heart rate monitoring device. A reminder that I should start slow.
Exercise
Before I start, I took three small sips of water to lubricate my throat, as I notice that it was dry and the deep breathing during exercise would dry it further. I took slow and small step to minimize the heart rate and maintain it at about 90+ bpm. Good to have the monitoring device. The watch I wore helps to track my steps, and heart beat to but at an interval of perhaps 15minutes. Sometimes it can skip some measuring interval, which I am not sure why, quite unreliable although it has worked for a few years. It is always the watch operating system and upgrade that cause the erratic behavior. It constantly needs attention and upgrading to much of my disgust.
I would walk up and down the circulation space at the end of the bed and request that the nurse who stood watch be standing at the side, but they preferred to stand near the door, perhaps they could then cautioned any one trying to walk into my walking space, as I would walk backwards towards the door. I would found to and fro as one set in my mind. I did 3,000 steps eventually, a slight increment from yesterday. It took me about half an hour. After a brief wind down breathing exercises, I did the BaDuanJin. Soon I would find my heart rate going over 110+ bpm. An exercise that is slow and sedentary could require the heart to beat so fast. So, to allay the concern of the ICU monitoring centre, I did a few breathing exercise to slow down the heart rate.
I end the exercise session with wind down breathing exercise and then stood and drew a sketch of the room. I was interesting to notice the amount of sockets, switches and plugs were needed by a single patient.
At about 5:10pm I started my evening exercise. This time the nurses were too busy to supervise me, which I was alright to work out on my own. I always remember the 3 sec rule. Once the pain hit, I will prone and roll to the side. It works in the bath room on two Friday ago. I did 3,000 steps and end the session with the BADuanJin. It felt good and heart beating. I took a bath before settling down for dinner at 6:45pm.
Dr. Rhamani
Dr. Rhamani came before my breakfast at about 8:30am. He was happy that I am fine. He reminded me that Wednesday is only two days away. Dr. Choy would come to advice me the preparation I need the day before the GAMA treatment. He did the routing checks of my alertness and vision. However, today he used the stethoscope and listen to my heart beat on the chest and back.
Preparing the home
I would need some equipment to monitor my heart beat, blood pressure, oxygen level, the same way they did in the hospital. I ordered a chest strap to measure the heart beat during exercise. I had one long ago when I was testing the latest gadget that also sync to the watch. Use it for a while during running and when the battery was dead; it was retired. Gadget are cheaper between five to ten times now compare to fifteen years ago. The chest strap cost about 40+ dollars on Lazada. I ordered a rechargeable Oximeter, again on Lazada. Perhaps one more watch that can continuously monitor the heart rate. It is interesting to look at the heart beat and adjust my routing and exercises. I could not really download one from my o present watch to the computer. It always been my curiosity if ever we could track heart beat and understand our health would be marvelous. As the Chinese doctors take pulses, check the eyes, the tongue, and the facial colours to diagnose sickness. Perhaps one day, we would be able to do that. Still looking for a smart watch that can do monitoring.

I was also looking a table that is hydraulic and could changes height so that I could sit less. I found one in the hospital that is superb for my used. Paramount table for hospital, one that is need and firm. I could use it for meals and then clear it for computer use. The base structure is very low and slim with protection on the protrusion portion, safer for my wife who may kick on it. It is designed by the Japanese and a lot of details are nicely considered. It is about 450mm by about 910mm for the table top. I wrote to the Paramount Firm regarding the cost and where to purchase. Still waiting for reply.
I saw the reply at 8pm and quickly I went on line and ordered. That table will be a good help. Paramount Bedside Table. I was lucky, the stock came and I ordered immediately.
