Wednesday 24th Nov - Warrior Diet
Today I listened to Warrior Diet while doing my usual exercise, jogging indoor forward and backwards for 4 km using the XOSS and Nike Run Club app, and of course winding down with BaDuanJin.
Cycles is a common things in life. We have the Circadian cycles, the monthly cycles, the yearly cycles and the twelve yearly cycles and perhaps bigger celestial cycles that we may not be aware. Yes, as I was listening, my jogging forward and backward were also cycles and rhythm. The author, Ori Hofmekler, suggested that warriors were more alert when they were hungry and they only ate once a day at the end of the day. He compare them to the training of the Falcon, the hunters used them to hunt for birds and animals or some tribes to retrieve their targets. So fasting everyday, as warrior only took one meal in the night, seem so contradicting to current trend of eat little and more frequently. Warrior and discipline attracts the romantics. Swordsman perhaps is a better lure, educated, restraint and discipline.
Hunger jolt the body to recovery. I was reminded of the little amount of food I was eating in the hospital as compared to the huge a mount I had at home. Perhaps that was why I dozed off after lunch yesterday, eating too full. I will try porridge again for lunch and see if that was the case or I was just short of some other minerals or vitamin. I recalled Dr. Sinclair who advocate a jolt to revitalise the body through waking up of sleeping genes or forgotten genes. Perhaps I should revisit his YouTube or book if he had written one. Yes, my condition is a wake up call which need new and radical jolt. Oh, yes, Sashi tried that fasting method too. I wonder if he is getting any good result.
I took the Neurogen-E tablet, it had Vitamin E, B1, B6 and B12. It was prescribed by Dr. Rhamani. However, I had also changed by diet to include fishes as they contained more vitamins that are good for the nerves. Dr. David Choy did advised that if I have eaten enough fishes I could reduce or do away with the tablet.
I am experience less prickling during exercise. I did experience a few during breakfast. Somehow it came as I was thinking of it. Could it be triggered by my consciousness of thinking of it. I tried to focus on my breathing and rhythm during the exercise. I did have a prick while raising my head upwards.
