Twenty-Sixth Day -- A new routine

Yesterday was an intense day finding new ways to deal with the prickling of the tongue, or the Glossopharyngeal nerve. I was very inspired by the book 'Activating the Vagus Nerve'. It was a time to work back and forth, crossed checking what I did two years ago that the syncope did not occur again then, I was well for two years. I only had a few incidences of sharp pain in the tongue if I took strongly acidic and gassy drinks or fruits. I usually skip them, but I was still eating chocolate ice cream. I could not eat ice cream now it would trigger a sharp pain.
There were a few things I started:
- Did not drink water one hour before I sleep. This was to reduce waking up to pee and interrupt sleep.
- Slept on the side instead of belly up. I suspect this helps to prevent me from using the mouth to breathe.
- Use the watch to track my sleep pattern.
- Gargle with saltwater before sleep
It helped to improve by sleep pattern. I get more deep sleep, but I still woke up twice to pee. I am still wondering how else I could improve my sleep result. I had 6 hrs and 16 mins of sleep, although I went to bed at 11pm and woke up at 7am the next day. The deep sleep was about one hour twenty-nine minutes, which was a vast improvement the day before, it was only 29 minutes.
I was trying the new relaxing breathing method while walking at home, moving forwards and backward. I did about 1,800 steps and felt a sudden breathlessness, perhaps it was confusion between the diaphragm method and occasional lung breathing that cause the problem. I played the Tibetan bowl and calmed down before finishing the exercise with BaDuanJin. I need to study the breathing sequence of the BaDuanJin so that my exercise can be more proper and effective.
After breakfast I rested a while, listening to Mozart music, and took a shower. Following the instruction from the book; I had a cooler shower, which according to the author it is good for calming the Vagus Nerve. A calming experience seems to make the day better.
I got a new book to listen to — Biology of Belief by Bruce H. Lipton. It was recommended by the author of the previous book. Interesting book, it is the equivalent of the quantum physics and string theories that debunk a mechanistic world, it debunks the central idea of the DNA as the keys that make us human — Gene determinism. He claimed that perception is the central driver of our being. So one’s belief is central to one’s well-being too. Amazing. So with that understanding how it can be of help to me. How should I send the message to my Glossopharyngeal Nerve? Meanwhile, the Lirica and the GAMA had been reducing the strong signal to my other nerve and brain.
One interesting point that impressed me was the fact, according to Bruce, was that movement create all the changes in the cells and change our physiology. It is less of the Genetic codes that do the job. The environment too cause the changes. How should I change my body environment to return the nerve to normal?
Energy psychology is the new field, where perception is the key to reprogramming the self. Sound like NLP and motivational psychology. It reminds me of Anthony Robin. So the world is like a drama series where one can change from one personality to another. Like Anthony Robin’s famous word, fake until you make it. Perception is taking the centre stage in all fields. Not sure if it is a good thing or bad. I wonder. How this could help my Neuralgia? I wonder? Send some good signal to the nerve and get it to alter its present condition.
