Thirty-Fourth Day -- Drawing in details


This shows clearly where the Glossopharyngeal nerve is connected to the various parts of the tongue and the throat. 

I had started to draw the region of the neck and how the Glossopharyngeal nerve is connected to the brain. I use the pencil this time as I had learned last year for my course in fashion design. I had been downloading detail illustration from the internet. Sunzi's famous text, 'If you know the enemy and know yourself you need not fear the results of a hundred battles'. I should know how the nerve are situated, connected and function. 



Exercise

I sat on he chair for massage, setting the mode to neck and shoulder, and move on to stretch function, it was not so painful. Perhaps I was getting use to the massage. 

I did 3 km with a pace of 9min 23 sec, with a cadence of 127. I felt that I had ran faster but the result showed otherwise. I was not sure where went wrong. Just strange. Sometimes I wondered if I should trust myself or the tech gadget. They seem to be a little unpredictable. Maybe the battery was getting weak. I added another twists and turns exercise as I felt my neck was very stiff. 

There was no prickling while I was jogging forward and backwards if I was not thinking of it, however as soon as I thought of it. I got a prickling. I started to wonder if I can control the prickling. Interesting. Or was it like Zen Buddhism's notion of all is up to the mind. If only I could will with the mind to get the prickling to leave my throat and tongue.



Sleep

My sleep was recorded only as 3 hours and 6 min. I was shocked. I started to sleep at about 11:20pm and woke up at about 6:20am. It indicated that I was awake between 11:50 to 3:12am. I was already asleep and woke up once to use the bathroom, and I continue to sleep until the next day. In between I remembered changing my sleeping position. I suspected that nothing was recorded because I rest my left wrist on the bed. Perhaps all these smart watch is not that smart after all. I read that Fitbits was the one of the best smart watch. Yes I had a few previously but they did  not impressed me. I wore two watches last night. However, the Fossil only measure heart rate. It shoed that my heart rate at resting was 56 bpm and the highest was 104 bpm. The set on the ROCK was entirely different. It recorded that my heart rate during the night was mostly above 100 plus bpm and the lowest was 61bpm. 

Perhaps I need another device to triple check. Every watch has its short coming of measurement. I cannot trust them totally. As they are all touted as not a medical equipment. Maybe I should try the Huawei watch and see how it works. I try to dig out all my smart watches and try them.

Today should try listening to music for half and hour before I sleeping. 

Cooking lunch

Most of the day I cook my own lunch. As I noticed that my weigh had been going down I think it is time to eat rice for a change and add some cheese to them. I fried the carrot until it was soft and I put it into a bowl, add some cheddar cheese on it and bake at 100 degree for 5 minutes. I added the rice one top of it, and top off with an egg fried with some onions. Simple and I like it.
