Domain squatting

Those were the days of Domain squatting where many bought the dot com domain names and then wait for anyone who is interested to buy it for a huge sum of money. My friend Steve was such an avid reader that he read a book on how to purchase domains and be a Millionaire. Yes, he was so convincing, and we put together some thousands of dollars and we started to purchase a pool of domains, each for 75USD and some hosting service. Those days we had to pay monthly to get it alive. We were so excited when Beer.com was sold for millions, then Business.com, then many others. LOL. Yes. Eventually, we did not make money but it was a good process of learning, about domain, domain service, registry, ICANN, hosting, email account setting, .. O eventually we even have our own office lease line servers for hosting email and websites. We experimented with online merchants too, where we learned about SQL, database, inventory, backend server for transactions, selling drawings perhaps. However, we did not have any product to sell, then we were in the architectural office, making the office adopt the internet world and a more efficient way to use technology to be more productive. We used Macromedia Directors for our presentation while pitching for design jobs and yes we did have some breakthroughs and won a few of them. That was all happening in 1998 to 1999.

Now I was taken by the new digital domains, such as .crypto .zil and .nft running on a decentralized blockchain. Yes, I started to buy some domains for my own use. Steve asked me what can it do? I don’t know yet. I only know it can transact digital currencies, digital tokens, and hoping that more applications and 3d viewers can be running on blockchain processors so that eventually my 3D creations, perhaps a virtual city and buildings can inhabit them. A vision that had been with me for a long time. I see more possibilities, of creating and creating. That is what life is all about, an aesthetical creative one.

I am, definitely, buying some blockchain domain.
